My journey began in 2007 when I came to the US to pursue a PhD in Chemistry from Florida International University. During my doctoral studies, I taught undergraduate labs for 6 years and had a brief stint teaching in the classroom. In the midst of my PhD, my husband and I welcomed our first baby. He also earned his PhD in Chemistry from Florida International University around the same time. I graduated in 2013. Later, I decided to switch careers and spent approximately 9.5 years working in IT until the end of 2023. Additionally, I ventured into entrepreneurship, starting an e-commerce business in 2016 and a vending machine business in 2022. I am blessed with two wonderful children: a daughter (14) and a son (6). My daughter is also a budding entrepreneur; she launched her face painting and balloon twisting business, Hasini Creations, at the age of 11, which has now grown into a family endeavor.
